The crowd at Thursday's non-league battle between the Poplarville Hornets (Poplarville, MS) and the visiting Stone Tomcats (Wiggins, MS), saw Poplarville's baseball team gain a win over Stone by a tally of 12-2.

The Hornets (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against Perry Central (New Augusta, MS). The Bulldogs enter the non-league battle with a 0-1 record. In their last battle, Perry Central was overwhelmed by George County (Lucedale, MS), 14-0, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Tomcats face the Long Beach Bearcats (Long Beach, MS) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, March 11. Stone will attempt to upgrade on its 0-2 season record.
