St. Stephens Indians (Hickory, NC) followers exited the stadium in high spirits Thursday as they saw their lacrosse team top the visiting Patton Panthers (Morganton, NC), 16-2 in a league game.

With the victory, St. Stephens advances its record to 1-1 on the season. The Indians travel to Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC) to play the Eagles in a non-league game on Tuesday, March 4. The Eagles come into the game with a record of 2-1. Lincoln Charter won 9-6 in their recent non-league game against Mooresville (Mooresville, NC)

The Panthers now sport a 0-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host T.C. Roberson for a NW/The Mountain/Western Foothills/Mtn. Foothills game on Tuesday, March 4. Patton will play a Rams team coming off a 9-8 league win over North Lincoln (Lincolnton, NC). The Rams record now stands at 2-0.
