The Abbeville Wildcats overwhelmed the host V.B. Glencoe Charter Gators softball squad by a count of 17-2 in Thursday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Wildcats meet the Acadiana Renaissance Charter Academy Eagles (Youngsville, LA) in a 2A District 8 challenge, on Thursday, March 6. Abbeville will attempt to upgrade on its 1-1 season record.
The Gators (0-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Franklin (Franklin, LA). The Hornets go into the non-league challenge with a 0-1 record. In their last challenge, Franklin was routed by Houma Christian (Houma, LA), 17-0, in a league challenge.
