Auburn Tigers (Auburn, AL) backers left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the host Benjamin Russell Wildcats (Alexander City, AL), 11-5 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Auburn upgrades its record to 2-0 on the year. The Tigers travel to Sparkman (Harvest, AL) to play the Senators in a non-league game on Friday, February 28. The Senators enter the game with a record of 6-2. Sparkman won 10-9 in their recent non-league game against Buckhorn (New Market, AL)

The Wildcats now own a 5-3 record. They play next when they travel to Wetumpka for a 6A Area 4 game on Tuesday, March 4. Benjamin Russell will play a Indians squad coming off a 7-6 non-league win over Baker (Mobile, AL). The Indians record now stands at 14-1.
