The crowd at Thursday's non-league bout between the Central Catholic Eagles (Morgan City, LA) and the visiting Patterson Lumberjacks (Patterson, LA), observed Central Catholic's softball team get by Patterson by a final score of 7-1.

The Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their bout against Loreauville (Loreauville, LA). The Tigers go into the non-league bout with a 1-3 record. In their last bout, Loreauville was routed by Hahnville (Boutte, LA), 7-6, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Lumberjacks battle the St. James Wildcats (St. James, LA) in a 3A District 8 bout, on Thursday, March 6. Patterson will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 0-3 record after their 16-1 non-league loss to St. John (Plaquemine, LA).
