The crowd at Thursday's league bout between the Weaver Bearcats (Weaver, AL) and the visiting Piedmont Bulldogs (Piedmont, AL), observed Weaver's softball team get by Piedmont by a final score of 9-5.

The Bearcats (2-0) will now prepare for their bout against Ashville (Ashville, AL). The Bulldogs go into the non-league bout with a 5-2 record. In their last bout, Ashville tipped St. John Paul II (Huntsville, AL), 2-0, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Hokes Bluff Eagles (Hokes Bluff, AL) in a non-league bout, on Monday, March 3. Piedmont will attempt to better on its 0-2 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 5-5 record after their 16-5 non-league win over Sand Rock (Leesburg, AL).
