Alabama High School Baseball - Leroy sneaks past Washington County

The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Leroy Bears (Leroy, AL) and the visiting Washington County Bulldogs (Chatom, AL), observed Leroy's baseball squad nip Washington County by a final score of 2-1.

With the triumph, Leroy moves its record to 2-1 on the season. The Bears host Southern Choctaw (Gilbertown, AL) to confront the Indians in a 1A Area 1 contest on Wednesday, March 4. The Indians come into the contest with a record of 0-1.

The Bulldogs now possess a 4-3 record. They play next when they travel to George County for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 28. Washington County will face a Rebels team coming off a 15-0 league win over Forest Hill (Jackson, MS). The Rebels record now stands at 5-3.
