In Friday's non-league bout, the La Cueva Bears (Albuquerque, NM) baseball team got by the visiting Carlsbad Cavemen/Cavegirls (Carlsbad, NM), by a count of 7-6.
The Bears now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Atrisco Heritage Academy for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 3. La Cueva will clash with a Jaguars team coming off a 5-4 non-league loss to Volcano Vista (Albuquerque, NM). The Jaguars record now stands at 1-1.
