Mississippi High School Softball - Long Beach bested by St. Patrick

The St. Patrick Fighting Irish triumphed over the visiting Long Beach Bearcats softball squad by a count of 14-4 in Friday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Fighting Irish meet the Presbyterian Christian Bobcats (Hattiesburg, MS) in a 3A Region 8 battle, on Tuesday, March 3. St. Patrick will attempt to move on its 7-5 season record. The Bobcats come into the battle with a 5-6 record after their 12-0 non-league loss to D'Iberville (D'Iberville, MS).

With the loss, Long Beach moves to 0-8 on the season. The Bearcats travel to Pass Christian (Pass Christian, MS) to confront the Pirates in a non-league battle on Monday, March 2. The Pirates come into the battle with a record of 6-2. Pass Christian won 11-1 in their recent non-league battle against Gautier (Gautier, MS)
