The Sundown Roughnecks softball team scored 14 runs and held the visiting Pecos Eagles to 1 in the Roughnecks non-league triumph on Friday.

Next, the Roughnecks meet the Lake View Chiefs/Maidens (San Angelo, TX) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 28. Sundown will attempt to upgrade on its 10-1 season record. The Chiefs/Maidens enter the challenge with a 2-5 record after their 9-9 non-league Pecos (Pecos, TX).

The Eagles (6-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Alpine (Alpine, TX). The Bucks enter the non-league challenge with a 4-8 record. In their last challenge, Alpine was routed by Coahoma (Coahoma, TX), 9-8, in a non-league challenge.
