Berry Wildcats (Berry, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Brilliant Tigers (Brilliant, AL), 2-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Wildcats now own a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Lamar for a 1A Area 9 challenge on Tuesday, March 1. Berry will battle a Stallions squad coming off a 17-0 non-league win over Keith (Orrville, AL). The Stallions record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, Brilliant falls to 1-4 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Sulligent (Sulligent, AL) to battle the Blue Devils in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, March 1. The Blue Devils enter the challenge with a record of 0-0.
