In Tuesday's non-league game, the visiting Pope John Paul II Jaguars baseball team scored a tight 9-2 victory over the Poplarville Hornets.
The Jaguars (4-0) will now prepare for their game against Pass Christian (Pass Christian, MS). The Pirates go into the non-league game with a 3-1 record. In their last game, Pass Christian tipped Harrison Central (Gulfport, MS), 3-0, in a non-league game.
The Hornets (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Pope John Paul II (Slidell, LA). The Jaguars go into the non-league game with a 6-0 record.
