The Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres basketball team scored 65 points and held the visiting Apollo Eagles to 54 in the Sabres non-league triumph on Tuesday.
The Sabres now sport a 7-17 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to St. Cloud Tech for a AAA Section 8 contest on Friday, March 3. Sartell-St. Stephen will battle a Tigers team coming off a 92-64 league loss to Brainerd (Brainerd, MN). The Tigers record now stands at 10-11.
The Eagles (1-19) will now prepare for their contest against Rocori (Cold Spring, MN). The Spartans enter the AAA Section 8 contest with a 16-9 record. In their last contest, Rocori ran past Sauk Rapids-Rice (Sauk Rapids, MN), 62-53, in a league contest.
