Johannesburg-Lewiston Cardinals (Johannesburg, MI) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Forest Area Warriors (Fife Lake, MI), 43-33 in a league bout.

With the victory, Johannesburg-Lewiston upgrades its record to 2-16 on the campaign. The Cardinals travel to Bellaire (Bellaire, MI) to play the Eagles in a Ski-Valley bout on Thursday, March 2. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 9-9.

Next up, the Warriors play the Traverse City Christian Sabres (Traverse City, MI) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, March 2. Forest Area will attempt to upgrade on its 0-17 season record. The Sabres come into the bout with a 12-7 record after their 52-30 non-league win over Leland (Leland, MI).
