South Lyon East Cougars (South Lyon, MI) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Milford Mavericks (Highland, MI), 48-45 in a league bout.

With the win, South Lyon East upgrades its record to 17-6 on the season. The Cougars travel to South Lyon (South Lyon, MI) to clash with the Lions in a non-league bout on Wednesday, March 1. The Lions go into the bout with a record of 16-5. South Lyon won 35-25 in their recent league bout against Milford (Highland, MI)

Next up, the Mavericks clash with the Howell Highlanders (Howell, MI) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, March 1. Milford will attempt to upgrade on its 11-11 season record. The Highlanders go into the bout with a 16-6 record after their 45-37 non-league win over Stevenson (Livonia, MI).
