Cairo Syrupmakers (Cairo, GA) supporters were pleased Tuesday as they observed their soccer team triumph over the visiting Westover Patriots (Albany, GA), 10-0 in a league challenge.
Next, the Syrupmakers confront the Bainbridge Bearcats (Bainbridge, GA) in a 4A Region 1 challenge, on Tuesday, March 7. Cairo will attempt to move on its 4-1 season record. The Bearcats enter the challenge with a 5-3 record after their 2-1 league win over Shaw (Columbus, GA).
The Patriots now possess a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Hardaway for a 4A Region 1 challenge on Friday, March 3. Westover will confront a Hawks team coming off a 3-1 league loss to Shaw (Columbus, GA). The Hawks record now stands at 3-4.
