Savannah Arts Academy Panthers (Savannah, GA) fans were thrilled Tuesday as they observed their soccer team hold off the host Toombs County Bulldogs (Lyons, GA), 2-1 in a league challenge.

Next, the Panthers face the Appling County Pirates (Baxley, GA) in a 2A Area 3 challenge, on Thursday, March 2. Savannah Arts Academy will attempt to better on its 6-1 season record. The Pirates enter the challenge with a 2-7 record after their 3-2 league loss to Vidalia (Vidalia, GA).

The Bulldogs now have a 4-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Vidalia for a 2A Area 3 challenge on Friday, March 3. Toombs County will face a Indians team coming off a 3-2 league win over Appling County (Baxley, GA). The Indians record now stands at 3-4.
