West Trojans (West, TX) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Connally Cadets (Waco, TX), 9-7 in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 7-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Harker Heights for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 2. West will face a Knights squad coming off a 5-2 non-league loss to Gregory-Portland (Portland, TX). The Knights record now stands at 9-4.

With the loss, Connally falls to 1-9 on the campaign. The Cadets travel to Lovelady (Lovelady, TX) to face the Lions in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 3. The Lions enter the challenge with a record of 5-8. Lovelady lost 5-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Pollok Central (Pollok, TX)
