Florida High School Softball - Marathon holds off Coral Shores

Marathon Dolphins (Marathon, FL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Coral Shores Hurricanes (Tavernier, FL), 18-16 in a non-league challenge.
The Dolphins now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Somerset Academy South Homestead for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, March 1. Marathon will face a Hurricanes squad coming off a 19-9 non-league win over Monsignor Pace (Miami, FL). The Hurricanes record now stands at 1-2.
With the loss, Coral Shores falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Hurricanes host LaSalle (Miami, FL) to face the Royal Lions in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 2. The Royal Lions enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. LaSalle won 9-4 in their recent non-league challenge against Colonial Christian (Homestead, FL)
