Texas High School Softball - Sotomayor holds off Holmes

The crowd at Tuesday's league match between the Sotomayor WILDCATS (San Antonio, TX) and the visiting Holmes Huskies (San Antonio, TX), saw Sotomayor's softball squad nip Holmes by a count of 3-1.

The WILDCATS now sport a 6-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Jay for a 6A Region IV District 29 match on Friday, March 3. Sotomayor will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 16-1 league loss to Stevens (San Antonio, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 7-6.

With the loss, Holmes falls to 3-7 on the campaign. The Huskies travel to Calallen (Corpus Christi, TX) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Friday, March 3. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 9-2. Calallen 0-0 in their recent non-league match against Eagle Pass (Eagle Pass, TX)
