Rio Rancho Rams (Rio Rancho, NM) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Valencia Jaguars (Los Lunas, NM), 22-12 in a non-league challenge.
The Rams now own a 1-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Los Lunas for a non-league challenge on Monday, March 6. Rio Rancho will face a Tigers squad coming off a 15-5 non-league win over Aztec (Aztec, NM). The Tigers record now stands at 1-0.
With the loss, Valencia falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Piedra Vista (Farmington, NM) to face the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 3. The Panthers enter the challenge with a record of 1-0. Piedra Vista won 18-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Roswell (Roswell, NM)
