Westwood Redhawks (Blythewood, SC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting River Bluff Gators (Lexington, SC), 6-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Redhawks now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Saluda for a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 2.

With the loss, River Bluff falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Gators travel to A.C. Flora (Columbia, SC) to battle the Falcons in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 4. The Falcons enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. A.C. Flora lost 2-1 in their recent non-league challenge against North Augusta (North Augusta, SC)
