In Wednesday's non-league match, the visiting Escanaba Eskymos basketball team scored a tight 51-48 triumph over the Negaunee Miners.
In their next game, the Eskymos meet the Kingsford Flivvers (Kingsford, MI) in a Great Northern U.P. match, on Friday, March 1. Escanaba will attempt to move on its 10-12 season record. The Flivvers enter the match with a 19-4 record after their 56-30 non-league win over Gladstone (Gladstone, MI).
With the defeat, Negaunee moves to 14-8 on the year.
