The Pike Central Chargers (Petersburg, IN) basketball nipped the host Washington Hatchets (Washington, IN), 62-59 in Wednesday's non-league test.

The Chargers (13-11) will now prepare for their test against Princeton (Princeton, IN). The Tigers go into the non-league test with a 18-7 record. In their last test, Princeton got by Heritage Hills (Lincoln City, IN), 57-52, in a non-league test.

The Hatchets now own a 13-10 record.
