The New Hope Trojans (Columbus, MS) baseball trounced the visiting Caledonia Cavaliers (Caledonia, MS), 13-0 in Friday's non-league challenge.
The Trojans now own a 1-4 record. They take the field next when they host West Point for a 5A Region 1 challenge on Tuesday, March 4. New Hope will clash with a Green Wave team coming off a 15-5 non-league loss to Nettleton (Nettleton, MS). The Green Wave record now stands at 5-6.
With the defeat, Caledonia drops to 3-4 on the year. The Cavaliers host Amory (Amory, MS) to clash with the Panthers in a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 1. The Panthers go into the challenge with a record of 5-1. Amory lost 11-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Tupelo (Tupelo, MS)
