In Friday's non-league bout, the Wilkes Central Eagles (Wilkesboro, NC) baseball squad edged the visiting Elkin Buckin' Elks (Elkin, NC), by a tally of 4-3.

Next up, the Eagles encounter the Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, March 4. Wilkes Central will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Panthers enter the bout with a 2-1 record after their 5-4 non-league win over Foard (Newton, NC).
