The Humphreys County Cowboys (Belzoni, MS) baseball trounced the visiting Gentry Rams (Indianola, MS), 17-4 in Friday's non-league challenge.
The Cowboys now own a 3-4 record. They take the field next when they host Greenville for a non-league challenge on Saturday, March 1. Humphreys County will clash with a Hornets team coming off a 12-3 non-league win over Riverside (Avon, MS). The Hornets record now stands at 1-1.
With the defeat, Gentry drops to 0-3 on the year. The Rams host Yazoo City (Yazoo City, MS) to clash with the Indians in a 5A Region 2 challenge on Thursday, March 6. The Indians go into the challenge with a record of 0-2.
