The crowd at Friday's league battle between the Starr's Mill Panthers (Fayetteville, GA) and the host Jonesboro Cardinals (Jonesboro, GA), saw Starr's Mill's baseball team gain a win over Jonesboro by a tally of 13-3.

The Panthers (6-3) will now prepare for their test against Griffin (Griffin, GA). The Bears go into the 4A Area 3 test with a 1-4 record. In their last test, Griffin was overwhelmed by Central (Carrollton, GA), 12-2, in a league test.

With the defeat, Jonesboro drops to 2-5 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Northside (Columbus, GA) to clash with the Patriots in a 4A Area 3 test on Tuesday, March 4. The Patriots go into the test with a record of 4-3. Northside won 10-4 in their recent non-league test against Calvary Christian (Columbus, GA)
