In Friday's non-league bout, the Southwestern Randolph Cougars (Asheboro, NC) baseball squad edged the visiting Montgomery Central Timberwolves (Troy, NC), by a tally of 7-6.
Next up, the Cougars encounter the South Stanly Rowdy Rebel Bulls (Norwood, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, March 5. Southwestern Randolph will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record.
The Timberwolves (1-2) will now prepare for their bout against Jordan-Matthews (Siler City, NC). The Jets enter the non-league bout with a 0-1 record. In their last bout, Jordan-Matthews was nudged by Eastern Randolph (Ramseur, NC), 16-1, in a non-league bout.
