The Stringer Red Devils baseball team scored 12 runs and held the visiting Quitman Panthers to 2 in the Red Devils non-league win on Friday.

The Red Devils now own a 1-7 record. They take the field next when they host Simpson Academy for a non-league test on Saturday, March 1. Stringer will play a Cougars team coming off a 6-0 non-league win over Brookhaven Academy (Brookhaven, MS). The Cougars record now stands at 4-4.

With the defeat, Quitman drops to 6-3 on the year. The Panthers host Richton (Richton, MS) to play the Rebels in a non-league test on Saturday, March 1. The Rebels go into the test with a record of 0-6. Richton lost 10-1 in their recent non-league test against Northeast Jones (Laurel, MS)
