The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the Kalamazoo Central Maroon Giants (Kalamazoo, MI) and the visiting Portage Central Mustangs (Portage, MI), observed Kalamazoo Central's basketball team knock off Portage Central by a score of 66-54.
The Maroon Giants (18-4) will now prepare for their challenge against Lakeview (Battle Creek, MI). The Spartans come into the non-league challenge with a 14-10 record. In their last challenge, Lakeview prevailed over Norrix (Kalamazoo, MI), 87-67, in a non-league challenge.
