North Carolina High School Basketball - Alexander Central trounced by McDowell

February 28, 2025: Marion, NC 28752

The Alexander Central Cougars basketball squad (Taylorsville, NC), was crushed 65-38 in Friday's non-league battle with the host McDowell Titans (Marion, NC)

With the victory, McDowell advances its record to 28-0 on the year. The Titans travel to South Mecklenburg (Charlotte, NC) to meet the Sabres in a non-league battle on Tuesday, March 4. The Sabres enter the battle with a record of 25-4. South Mecklenburg won 64-58 in their recent non-league battle against Davie (Mocksville, NC)

The Cougars now own a 16-12 record.
