The crowd at Friday's non-league challenge between the West Albany Bulldogs (Albany, OR) and the visiting Central Panthers (Independence, OR), observed West Albany's basketball team knock off Central by a score of 61-49.

The Bulldogs (15-6) will now prepare for their challenge against Dallas (Dallas, OR). The Dragons come into the 5A Mid-Willamette challenge with a 3-17 record. In their last challenge, Dallas dropped by Woodburn (Woodburn, OR), 53-40, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Crescent Valley Raiders (Corvallis, OR) in a 5A Mid-Willamette challenge, on Tuesday, March 4. Central will attempt to improve on its 6-14 season record. The Raiders come into the challenge with a 13-10 record after their 57-44 non-league win over Lebanon (Lebanon, OR).
