The Governor Thomas Johnson Patriots basketball squad (Frederick, MD), was crushed 72-42 in Friday's non-league battle with the host Urbana Hawks (Ijamsville, MD)

With the victory, Urbana advances its record to 15-8 on the year. The Hawks travel to Clarksburg (Clarksburg, MD) to meet the Coyotes in a non-league battle on Monday, March 3. The Coyotes enter the battle with a record of 18-4. Clarksburg won 76-73 in their recent non-league battle against Churchill (Potomac, MD)

The Patriots now own a 6-15 record.

This game is a part of the 2025 MPSSAA Girls Basketball State Championships (Maryland) - Class 4A tournament
