The Southwestern Randolph Cougars baseball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Montgomery Central Timberwolves to 5 in the Cougars non-league win on Friday.
The Cougars now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to South Stanly for a non-league test on Wednesday, March 5. Southwestern Randolph will play a Rowdy Rebel Bulls team coming off a 13-1 non-league loss to Parkwood (Monroe, NC). The Rowdy Rebel Bulls record now stands at 1-2.
With the defeat, Montgomery Central drops to 0-3 on the year. The Timberwolves host Jordan-Matthews (Siler City, NC) to play the Jets in a non-league test on Monday, March 3. The Jets go into the test with a record of 0-0.
