In Friday's league contest, the North Mesquite Stallions (Mesquite, TX) soccer team edged the visiting Adams Cougars (Dallas, TX), by a count of 2-1.
Next, the Stallions face the West Mesquite Wranglers (Mesquite, TX) in a 5A Region 2 District 14 contest, on Tuesday, March 4. North Mesquite will attempt to upgrade on its 13-4 season record. The Wranglers enter the contest with a 7-9 record after their 2-0 league win over Seagoville (Dallas, TX).
The Cougars (11-4) will now prepare for their contest against Samuell (Dallas, TX). The Spartans enter the 5A Region 2 District 14 contest with a 1-11 record. In their last contest, Samuell was nipped by Poteet (Mesquite, TX), 8-0, in a league contest.
