Fans at Friday's league battle between the Aledo Bearcats (Aledo, TX) and the visiting Saginaw Rough Riders (Saginaw, TX), saw Aledo's soccer squad hold off Saginaw by a count of 3-2.

The Bearcats (12-3) will now prepare for their battle against Granbury (Granbury, TX). The Pirates enter the 5A Region 1 District 5 battle with a 3-7 record. In their last battle, Granbury Brewer (Fort Worth, TX), 1-1, in a league battle.

Next up, the Rough Riders confront the Chisholm Trail Rangers (Fort Worth, TX) in a 5A Region 1 District 5 battle, on Tuesday, March 4. Saginaw will attempt to upgrade on its 9-7 season record. The Rangers enter the battle with a 5-11 record after their 4-3 league loss to Fossil Ridge (Keller, TX).
