The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Alcorn Central Bears (Glen, MS) and the visiting Wheeler Eagles (Wheeler, MS), observed Alcorn Central's softball team get by Wheeler by a tally of 5-4.

The Bears (3-5) will now prepare for their bout against Booneville (Booneville, MS). The Blue Devils go into the 3A Region 1 bout with a 3-1 record. In their last bout, Booneville tipped Ripley (Ripley, MS), 16-4, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Eagles clash with the Pine Grove Panthers (Ripley, MS) in a non-league bout, on Monday, March 3. Wheeler will attempt to advance on its 1-2 season record. The Panthers go into the bout with a 2-4 record after their 13-4 non-league loss to Houston (Houston, MS).
