The crowd at Friday's non-league bout between the Hamilton Lions (Hamilton, MS) and the host Amory Panthers (Amory, MS), observed Hamilton's softball team get by Amory by a tally of 9-7.

The Lions (4-3) will now prepare for their bout against Walnut (Walnut, MS). The Wildcats go into the 2A Region 1 bout with a 2-2 record. In their last bout, Walnut tipped Pine Grove (Ripley, MS), 12-2, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the Itawamba Agricultural Indians (Fulton, MS) in a 4A Region 1 bout, on Monday, March 3. Amory will attempt to advance on its 3-2 season record. The Indians go into the bout with a 9-0 record after their 3-0 non-league win over Russellville (Russellville, AL).
