North Carolina High School Softball - Gray's Creek bounces Union Pines

February 28, 2025: Cameron, NC 28326

In Friday's non-league match, the visiting Gray's Creek Bears softball team scored a nice 14-5 win over the Union Pines Vikings.

The Bears (3-0) will now prepare for their match against Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC). The Rams come into the United Eight 3A/4A match with a 1-2 record. In their last match, Purnell Swett was routed by Triton (Erwin, NC), 12-9, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Vikings confront the Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC) in a Sandhills 3A/4A match, on Tuesday, March 4. Union Pines will attempt to better on its 0-3 season record. The Yellow Jackets come into the match with a 0-1 record after their 18-5 non-league loss to Jordan-Matthews (Siler City, NC).
