The Jasper Vikings softball squad (Jasper, AL), 4-2 in Saturday's non-league contest with the host Northside Rams (Northport, AL)

With the triumph, Northside improves its record to 3-3 on the year. The Rams host Sipsey Valley (Buhl, AL) to face the Bears in a 5A Area 9 contest on Monday, March 2. The Bears enter the contest with a record of 1-3. Sipsey Valley won 8-7 in their recent non-league contest against Ardmore (Ardmore, AL)

The Vikings now hold a 7-2 record. They play next when they travel to Tuscaloosa County for a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 3. Jasper will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 4-1 non-league loss to Jasper (Jasper, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 5-3.
