In Thursday's non-league game, the host Homewood Patriots baseball team scored a tight 6-0 victory over the Pelham Panthers.
The Patriots (5-4) will now prepare for their game against Gardendale (Gardendale, AL). The Rockets go into the non-league game with a 5-2 record.
The Panthers (1-7) will now prepare for their game against Moody (Moody, AL). The Blue Devils go into the non-league game with a 4-2 record. In their last game, Moody was overwhelmed by Springville (Springville, AL), 4-2, in a non-league game.
