The West Stanly Colts (Oakboro, NC) baseball trounced the visiting Mount Pleasant Tigers (Mt. Pleasant, NC), 9-1 in Thursday's non-league contest.
Coming up next, the Colts play the Central Academy Cougars (Monroe, NC) in a Rocky River 2A/3A contest, on Tuesday, March 5. West Stanly will attempt to better on its 1-0 season record. The Cougars enter the contest with a 1-1 record after their 8-6 non-league loss to Pine Lake Prep (Mooresville, NC).
The Tigers now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Corvian Community for a non-league contest on Saturday, March 2. Mount Pleasant will play a Cardinals squad coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Metrolina Christian Academy (Indian Trail, NC). The Cardinals record now stands at 0-2.
