Spectators at Thursday's non-league battle between the Taylor County Vikings (Butler, GA) and the host Westside Seminoles (Macon, GA), saw Taylor County's baseball squad knock off Westside by a count of 16-2.

Coming up next, the Vikings play the Chattahoochee County Panthers (Cusseta, GA) in a 1A D-II Area 6 battle, on Tuesday, March 5. Taylor County will attempt to move on its 8-3 season record. The Panthers enter the battle with a 2-6 record after their 9-7 league win over Marion County (Buena Vista, GA).

The Seminoles now possess a 0-5 record. They take the field next when they host Spalding for a 4A Area 2 battle on Friday, March 1. Westside will play a Jaguars squad coming off a 16-5 non-league loss to Upson-Lee (Thomaston, GA). The Jaguars record now stands at 3-4.
