In Thursday's non-league outing, the Long Reach Lightning (Columbia, MD) basketball squad beat the visiting Centennial Eagles (Ellicott City, MD), by a count of 66-53.
The Lightning (21-2) will now prepare for their outing against River Hill (Clarksville, MD). The Hawks go into the non-league outing with a 20-3 record. In their last outing, River Hill defeated Atholton (Columbia, MD), 69-65, in a non-league outing.
The Eagles now hold a 13-9 record.
