The Munising Mustangs routed the host Newberry Indians basketball team by a final score of 63-41 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Mustangs face the Big Bay de Noc Black Bears (Cooks, MI) in a non-league game, on Friday, March 1. Munising will attempt to move on its 17-4 season record. The Black Bears enter the game with a 15-4 record after their 50-44 non-league win over Rapid River (Rapid River, MI).

With the defeat, Newberry moves to 5-16 on the year.
