In Thursday's non-league contest, the Grenada Chargers (Grenada, MS) softball team overwhelmed the host Independence Wildcats (Independence, MS), by a margin of 15-2.
With the triumph, Grenada moves its record to 6-0 on the year. The Chargers travel to DeSoto Central (Southaven, MS) to play the Jaguars in a non-league contest on Monday, March 4. The Jaguars come into the contest with a record of 5-0. DeSoto Central won 6-0 in their recent non-league contest against Saltillo (Saltillo, MS)
In their next game, the Wildcats play the Nanih Waiya Warriors (Louisville, MS) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, March 2. Independence will attempt to move on its 2-4 season record. The Warriors come into the contest with a 2-4 record after their 10-6 non-league loss to Northeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS).
