North Carolina High School Softball - Hoke County bounces St. Pauls

February 29, 2024: Raeford, NC 28376

Hoke County Bucks (Raeford, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting St. Pauls Bulldogs (St. Pauls, NC), 9-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Bucks now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they host Scotland for a Sandhills 3A/4A challenge on Tuesday, March 5. Hoke County will face a Fighting Scots squad coming off a 7-2 non-league win over Lumberton (Lumberton, NC). The Fighting Scots record now stands at 1-0.

With the loss, St. Pauls falls to 1-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC) to face the Eagles in a non-league challenge on Monday, March 4. The Eagles enter the challenge with a record of 0-1. Douglas Byrd lost 16-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Union (Rose Hill, NC)
