Brashier Middle College Charter Bengal (Simpsonville, SC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Blacksburg Wildcats (Blacksburg, SC), 58-50 in a league bout.

With the win, Brashier Middle College Charter upgrades its record to 7-14 on the season. The Bengal travel to Landrum (Landrum, SC) to play the Cardinals in a AA Region 2 bout on Friday, February 4. The Cardinals go into the bout with a record of 19-3. Landrum lost 48-45 in their recent league bout against St. Joseph's Catholic (Greenville, SC)

Next up, the Wildcats play the Greer Middle College Blazers (Taylors, SC) in a AA Region 2 bout, on Friday, February 4. Blacksburg will attempt to upgrade on its 3-15 season record. The Blazers go into the bout with a 10-12 record after their 65-51 league loss to Chesnee (Chesnee, SC).
