The Fitzgerald Purple Hurricane basketball team scored 73 points and restricted the host Worth County Rams to 39 in the Purple Hurricane league victory on Thursday.
The Purple Hurricane now sport a 10-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Early County for a AA Region 1 contest on Saturday, February 5. Fitzgerald will battle a Bobcats team coming off a 63-17 non-league win over Miller County (Colquitt, GA). The Bobcats record now stands at 11-11.
The Rams (3-18) will now prepare for their contest against Citizens Christian Academy (Douglas, GA). The Patriots come into the non-league contest with a 21-3 record. In their last contest, Citizens Christian Academy triumphed over Fullington Academy (Pinehurst, GA), 72-26, in a league contest.
